MRS CHRIS IRISH PHF
Ever since her husband’s initial involvement with the Rotary Club of Playford in 2002 there is a lady who has played an integral role in many aspects of the life of the club. She has done a great deal to foster fellowships and good relationships within the club with her ready hospitality and participation with social functions. She has always assisted actively with fund raising; baking for market stalls, organising quizzes and taking an active role in Quizzes, Valuation days and Mannequin Parades. Her Paul Harris Fellowship award was a well -deserved earlier recognition of her value and standing within the club.
Apart from extra efforts with larger fund raising projects, this lady has been a vital part of regular ongoing barbecues at Bunnings. For many years these barbecues have proved a fund raising mainstay for funds for club donations to local schools and community groups. Summer or winter she has unfailingly turned up with two large containers of all the where-with-all to provide smooth and efficient working behind the counter at every BBQ. This has involved many hours of work, not only AT the BBQs but behind the scenes preparation, stocking up and packing away. On the rare occasion when she has not been there the loss of this person’s presence and expertise has been all too clearly missed.
This person is aware she would willingly be accepted as a member of the club. She exemplifies service above self and truly lives up to every aspect of the Rotary FOUR WAY TEST.
CHRIS IRISH was asked to accept this token of the club’s appreciation for her ongoing service and commitment.
